This overland tour connects three ancient and fascinating capital cities. This tour is significant due to historical ties amongst these three cities Kathmandu, (Nepal), Lhasa (Tibet) and Beijing (China mainland).
Your overland journey begins from Kathmandu to border town Kodari, cross border into Tibet. Drive along the well maintained Friendship Highway, taking you over several high mountain passes and a - literally! - Breathtaking panorama of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Shishapangma, visiting ancient city of Gyantse and second biggest city of Tibet Shigatse finally you reached Lhasa. After a period of acclaimtisation in the Tibetan capital, when you can visit the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Temple and other monasteries, your train journey begins, passing through high Tibetan plataue, lake, wild animal and many of historical cities/town before you reached Beijing.
The tour starts with a comprehensive trip briefing in Kathmandu followed, drive to border town of Kodari where you will be meet by Tibetan guide and transfer to first overnight point of Zhangmmu in Tibet.
