Basant, the people who work with him and his family were so supportive and helpful duirng my visit to Nepal that I am already planning on returning to utilize his services again to visit more of Nepal and see Tibet as well. I have been fortunate in my ability to travel to various places and I can say without a doubt that Basant & all those associated with Basanta Adventures were the most helpful and educated tour guides I have ever had the pleasure of sightseeing with. Basant not only helped me see the best of Nepal but also assisted me when I fell ill and kept checking up on me to make sure I was ok. I have never had a tour company that gave such individualized hospitality and services for such a fair price and be so concerned about my well being and safety. I was there when the King dismanteled the government and at that time there was chaos and though it was difficult to travel during that period of my stay (after benefical and educational advice and information concerning Nepal and volunteering as well as sightseeing there), Basant and his associates as well as his wonderful wife made sure I was ok and gave me the real scoop on the situation and what the everyday individual in Nepal thought about what was going on which was so informative and useful in my continued schooling in America that people still ask me how I know such things and are in awe when I describe all that Basant and company did for me from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. All the while, his empathy and troubleshooting were especially beneficial during my stay in Nepal and I cannot thank Basant enough for everything that he and his company did to ensure I had the best possible time as well as ensuring my safety and informing me about Nepali culture and norms. I cannot wait to return when I graduate from social work school and I guarantee that anyone who is fortunate enough to use his services will find Basant's expertise and fairness to be first rate and will feel the same way about Basanta Adventure that I do - a well run organization with the most talented and caring people working there who truly care about your best interests, safety and overall desire to ensure you get to know and love all that Nepal has to offer. Namaste! Our trip around the world took us to over 20 countries but the number one for us was Nepal.  The Poon Hill trek was just long enough to make us fall in love with the country and we are now looking forward to a return visit which will be far longer.  The organisation of our trek by Basant, and our time with Gyalsen and Nori was excellent.  We learnt a huge amount and will always be grateful to them for introducing us to our number 1 country!

I had such a great time in Nepal and just want to thank you for everything you did for us to ensure that everything was successful and ran smoothly! My family, although difficult at first were very kind and hospitable but perhaps they are more used to having two volunteers at the same time who can then be with each other as well as the family. This is not a criticism in anyway but more an after thought. Tibet was particularly great and despite the freezing travels (very exciting) we all had such a fantastic time and it was the most amazing opportunity to see a beautiful country. I also particuarly enjoyed my experiences at the Tibetan centre and wish I could have done it for longer and perhaps been there throughout my stay rather than in the school. Thanks.
