Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel:

Arrival in Kathmandu where you will be met and transferred to Hotel, just walking distance to any styles of good restaurants and shops. Our Representative will give you short briefing on hotel facilities and safety that will be followed by main trek briefing. O/N at Hotel in Kathmandu (BB)

Day 02: Sightseeing of World Heritage sites:

After breakfast, trek briefing will take place around 9 am. All aspects of gear and conditions are discussed to make sure you're fully prepared for the trip, and any last minute questions answered. After lunch we explore this medieval capital. We visit Boudhanath, also known as little Tibet. Then we visit Pasupatinath, holy temple of Hindu where cremation takes place by the holy river Bagmati. Later we visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square where you will have your lunch. O/N at Hotel in Kathmandu (BB)

Day 03: Fly Kathmandu to Nepalgunj 1 hour, transfer to Hotel:

Morning until 2 PM you are free on your own, in the evening we will depart for Nepalgunj by flight. Nepalgunj is lowland Terai region it is 500m from sea level. You will be dropped to hotel. O/N at hotel in Nepalgunj (MAP)


Day 04: Fly Nepalgunj to Simikot (2856m/9370ft), 50mins & trek to Dharapuri (2400m/7874ft), 4 hrs:

Our 65-km trek to the Tibetan border begins by climbing from the Simikot air-strip, and passing by the water source for the upper Simikot Khasa village. Climbing the trail from here, we reach the Simikot Lagna Pass, at 3000 m. It does not look far, but it is a long 300-metre bridge to the top of forested ridge overlooking the town. After descending for 1 hour the trail goes toward Darapori for overnight halt. O/N Camp (AP)

 

Day 05: Trek Dharapuri to Kermi (2690m/8825ft), 4 hrs:

The trail this day starts off reasonably level. We pass by a Thakuri village called Tuling, and wild nut and apricot trees provide welcome shade along the bank of the River Karnali as the trek passes through Dharapuri at 2300m. We cross the Yabka Khola (also known as Dharapuri Khola), and soon We reach the campsite of Dharapuri, which has a few teashops. Walking another 10 minutes brings us the Thakuri village of Dharapuri situated on the top of a ridge which also has a police check-post. Below this village, a bridge over the Humla Karnali leads to a couple of Lama villages called Jad Kholsi and Khangalgaon. These villages belong to the Tugchulungba community and the route to these villages passes the Thakuri village of Hitan (thakuri) Kholsi. This is the last Thakuri village in the valley and the upper limit of rice cultivation. From Dharapuri, the trail goes straight along the right bank of the Karnali River to the Gharapori Khola, a small tributary of the Karnali. Ascending from this stream of Dharapuri Khola, the trail undulates along the Karnali River up to Chachera at 2350 m, a cave campsite used by sheep caravans. There is also nice waterfall nearby. Just above these waterfalls is a Lama village called Chyadog, which also belongs to the Tugchulungba community. Then climb over a ridge past swarms of lizards sunning themselves as we approach Kermi, situated besides a stream, at 2690 m. Kermi is the last Tugchulungba village. The actual route by passes Kermi and the only camp nearby is below the village. O/N Camp (AP)

 

Day 06: Trek to Chumsa Khola Valley (3600m/11808ft) 5-6 hrs.

Trail of today is 7010 m ascend and just 71 m descend. Detour. Well if we did not spend time in kermi village, take a small detour and head up through the town before dropping back onto the man trail. Our trail levels out a bit as it makes a long traverse through a sparse pine forest. People traveling to Mt, Kailash follow the trail down to the Chumsa Khola. We drop through the forest, cross the bridge, some shade and reach flat place for the lunch. Further three hrs of the trek we cross the bridge, come to open field and stone shelters (3400m) where we place our Tent camp to fix to stay overnight stay

 

Day 07: Trek to Dharmasala.

The trail of today is 600m ascend, short day to reach our campsite Nyalu Lagna. The first section of our trail climbs strongly through moss covered birch and pine forests. After around two hours our trail climbs on top of benign glacial moraine before turning left into the sweeping expanse and gradually we cross several streams and Chusa Khola. If we have a large group then we take our camp in the flat area located at about 4000m. But if we have a small group then we go to Dharamsala for the camp

Day 08:Trek to Talung Camp (4380m), 7/8 hrs

 To reach Talung we need journey 1000m ascent and 600m descent. We leave early today, need to cross 4990m high Nyalu Lagna La. An early start makes easy for our pack animals to cross on snow patches. Our initial trails begin with a climb up grassy gradient and turn on marine and hillside and the western shore of selling Tso (4600m). Trail then Sweeps west into a wide, often filled snow valley. Gradually we reach prayer flag decorated Nyalu Lagna (4990m). From 20 minutes northwest above the pass offer a great view of Tibetan plateau, Kailash, and Gurla Mandata. From the pass our trail drop sleepy to a flat expanse dotted with hundred of uprights stone markers. Now from here we steeply gully to the right and properly down to the Talung Valley floor at (440m). If there is snow then we have another alternate option trail to go down to Talung camp (4380m) to fix for overnight

Day 09: Trek to Jang

From camp our trails follow high above the Shoreline of the 1200m long Tshom Tso. The head of the lake is dominated by giant white sand dunes. Now further we cross several rivers and the Ling Chu and climb Talung valley through Tukche Valley. From the top we see a 24km trail leading into Tibet through Lapcha La (5688m). Local people sue the trail to bring giant herbs of goats into Nepal fattening up and sale. Below there is Yok Gonpa (4170 m). After 4 hours of walk through meadows bring us to Takche valley where we fix our campsite for overnight stay.

Day 10: Trek to Halji

Today our trek journey is down toward descend 400m. We start early and follow the trail back to Jang and exit the village through stone chorttens painted roof. It is situated 9km to the west of jang; visit Renzin Ling Gompa, considered very important gompa of Limi. The rocky undulating trail turns into steep marrow ascends and then descend then bring us to Halji. Halji is surrounded by gompa and from here offers a good view of barley and wheat field. Time to time great Rinpoche visit along this gompa.

Day 11: Trek to Til

As we have to trek to TIL village today, we walk around 155 m ascend and 50 m descend. From the campsite climb back to the main tail and walk through irrigated fields, drop back to the Takche Chu and cross the bridge (3719 me), bring us south side of the river. It is a pleasant walk but sometimes wind may come strongly. Further two hrs of walk bring us to suspension n bridge and return to the north side of the river. Now we down to stone-lined pit local people bait this pit to catch snow Leopards. Rest of the trail climbs up through several Chastens, more or less an hour of walk bring us to flat area Til village, offer us the splendid mountains view

Day 12: Trek  to Manepeme

We walk today 872 m ascend and 585 m descend and then nature if trail is up and down. First sections of our trail begin climbing through grazing fields and head toward the village and turn left. Our trail climb gradually we could see heli pat. Now entire three hours we walk on tiny stream and collection of small flat platforms. We walk on a step pinnacle and climb again over 4000 m for a view of southeast of the Humla Karnali River and gradually reach at Manepene, where we make our camp

Day 13: Trek to Hilsa

As we have a plan to trek to Hilsa today, we walk down by 400 m and up by 300 m. The trail goes further behind and jump though landslide where you can explore the magnificent view of Nara La (4590 m). Gradually we walk down through barley filed and reach village Hilsa. There are lots of small Lodge and Chinese shops. Hilsa is a busy place. Close to regular heli drop Indian people of Mt. Kailash devoted.

Day 14: Trek to Palbang

As a previous today also we need to walk 800 m ascend and 1200 m descend. we follow gently brace ourselves for a nail-biting ascend of some of the narrowest path, nara la(4580 m) pass, past small lake on the top is a giant cairn often blasted by a strong winds and down to the road bring us to Sipsip(4330 m), to our right yori(3670 m), compact settlement of stone house below the trail. From Sipsip it takes us around three hours to reach Palbang through windy trail where we take camp

Day 15:Trek to Muchu:

Travel of today is 50 m ascend and 489 m descend. Today we can consider as simple day, mostly we walk downhill through a pleasant walk. The day we can meet some trekkers of Mt. Kailash. From Palbang we climb gently through Juniper trees and drop down at the height of 3270 m. Then easy stretch trail brings us to Muchu. After some hours of walking, we set up our tent for overnight stay

Day 16: Trek to Chumsa Khola:

After walked 200 m ascend and 261 m descend reach to Chumsa Khola. The day will remain really beautiful for us. We follow the extremely blue water of Humla Karnali. From our camp, we cross the bridge and follow the lower trail which is easy and can mark. Around 45 minutes ups and downs walk we reach at Yabang (2890 m). Village yangar get electrify from yalbang. From Yalbang we follow the steep trail climbs to the opposite hillside to Puinya, where people of Yalbang live during the summer time. This is also one important treading center of Humli and bajura. The place is also the route of Mt. saipal south base. Walking of half an hour later we cross a suspension bridge of chumsa Khola where we fix our tent on beautiful terrace.

Day 17 : Trek to Dharapani:

The second last day of our trek walk 230 m ascends and 743 m descend. We did a complete circle. Short drags to 2990 m return our trail junction and pass where we turned to head towards the Nyalu Lagna. Rest of the trail is same we already used while we go up. Some hrs on a journey we arrive in Dharapani where we spend overnight

Day 18: Trek to Simikot:

We walk 980 m ascend and 278 m descend today. We take a low route to Masigaon and climb up 900 m top of the hill overlooking simikot. And from the top, we drop down 300 m into the town then we build the camp place where we build before while we come from Kathmandu.

Day 19: Flight from Simikot to Kathmandu: 

We flight to ktm early in the morning. As soon as you arrive in TIA airport you will be transferred to your hotel by the representatives of Basanta Adventure. You can spend your rest time own way. If you need any kind of further assistance then do not hesitate to ask us. During the last night, we invite you to have a typical Nepali dinner.

Day 20:Day at leisure: (BB)

This pleasant day you may have full day at leisure and either relax at hotel

Day 21: Holiday extension or transfer to airport for final departure:
