Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world.
We fly east to the remote regions of Tumlingtar to begin the base camp trek. This long trek takes us through the subtropical Arun Valley, across the Barun Pass and Barun River, then finally we reach the base camp - 4460m of Makalu-8555m, one can enjoy the rare views of the East face of Everest, Lhotse and Cho-Oyu.
