You have the option of an overnight stay in one of the many resorts to enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas a day before your hike. Alternatively, simply drive to Nagarkot early in the morning and start your trek downhill along the villages and farming fields. Nagarkot is located 32 km east of the Kathmandu Valley at an altitude of 2100m/6,888ft. It is a famous tourist destination renowned for its amazing mountain views, sunsets, and sunrises. There are many beautiful lodges and resorts to accommodate guests staying overnight.

The hiking trail is easy and descends through beautiful villages, terraced farms, and beautifully painted, locally built brick and stone houses. Take a break in a pleasant spot for lunch while enjoying the view and rural sites. Continue the hike downhill toward the Changu Narayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you are greeted by idols over 1,000 years old. Hike from Nagarkot to Changu Narayan

After breakfast, the guide will pick you up from the hotel. You begin your excursion through beautiful terrace farming, descending. You will come across several villages finally reach one of the Nepal oldest temple Chagunarayan fitted with amazing painting, sutra and wood carving. You have option of visiting the Bhaktapur world heritage site before driving back to Kathmandu.
