After breakfast, we pick you up and drive to the foot of the Shivapuri Hill, second highest hill in Kathmandu valley located 9 km north of Kathmandu. Situated at an elevation of 2563m/8400ft, the hikes take approx. 4-5 hours starting from sacred temple of Narayanthan or Budanikantha (Lord Vishnu resting atop a bed of serpents). After you reach entrance gate of the Shivapuri national park area and we will pay a visit the Nagi Gumba, a Buddhist monastery for nuns, Nagi Gumpa situated at an altitude of 2330m north of Kathmandu and above Budhanilkantha Temple is only Monastery for the Nuns where about 200 Nuns practice Buddhism and foreigners often come there for meditation.
It is a steep uphill hike through narrow and dusty trail for about half an hour and two hours gradual uphill trail to Shivapuri.
After lunch and strolling around from sometimes, we take a short cut downhill trail to Budhanilkantha for about and half hours and drive back to Kathmandu.
