Nepal Safari Tour Overview

The Nepal Safari Tour is designed for travelers who want to experience several sides of Nepal without undertaking a strenuous trek. The journey begins among Kathmandu Valley’s temples and historic squares before descending into the subtropical lowlands of Chitwan. From there, it continues to Pokhara, Nagarkot, and Bhaktapur, creating a varied cultural and wildlife holiday within nine days.

Chitwan National Park provides the main wildlife experience. Established in 1973 as Nepal’s first national park, it protects forests, grasslands, rivers, wetlands, and important populations of greater one-horned rhinoceros and Bengal tiger. Guided jeep safaris, canoe rides, birdwatching, and nature activities provide opportunities to experience the park, although sightings of individual wild animals can never be guaranteed.

The journey then turns north towards Pokhara, where Phewa Lake and the Annapurna Himalayas create a completely different setting. After sightseeing in Pokhara, a domestic flight returns you to Kathmandu before continuing to Nagarkot. The following morning begins with sunrise over the Himalayan skyline before visiting the medieval city of Bhaktapur.

October to April generally provides the best conditions for the Nepal Safari Tour. Autumn offers clear Himalayan views and comfortable weather, while winter and early spring are excellent for Chitwan wildlife activities. No TIMS Card or trekking permit is required. A Chitwan National Park entry permit and entrance fees at selected cultural and heritage sites are necessary and can be coordinated as part of the tour.
